The Government has imposed lockdown on our churches – up to and including 2 December. Please click on the link at the bottom of this page for the corresponding statement from the Bishops Conference.

Thus, during this period, sadly our church will only be open for private prayer – on Wednesdays from 11.15am until 12.45pm, with Confessions available from 11.30am – Noon as normal on Wednesdays.

Month of the Holy Souls – Fr Aaron will offer a Mass at St John’s for all the Bereaved in our parish on Wednesday 25th November at 7pm.

Parish Foodbank – The St John’s Share Shop – This will remain open each day when the church is open. Please continue to donate food, toiletries and baby goods. There has been a significant take up of this. Please share this initiative with anyone you may know who might need some extra help.

Fr Aaron

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as being already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.           Amen.

Radio Maria England presents its new series on ENGLISH MARIAN SHRINES.

Catholic internet radio station, RADIO MARIA ENGLAND, recently launched its new autumn schedule. Among its new programmes is ENGLISH MARIAN SHRINES. Presenter, Lucia Watson, introduces various holy Marian Shrines in our country. Yes, you’ve heard of Lourdes, yes you’ve heard of Walsingham, but DID YOU KNOW of the many other shrines scattered throughout our country?

The last remaining shrine to be featured in this series will be on this Saturday  14th Nov from  West Grinstead, where Geoff Callister, who usually gives the pilgrims various talks about the Shrine, will give us a fascinating history of the secret chapel located in the Priest’s House.

Listen online via our website this Saturday, 14th Nov at 8.30pm:
