Please extend a warm welcome to Fr David Irwin who celebrates the 10.30 Sung Mass this Sunday, 17th February.

 THE FUTURE OF THE 10.30 SUNDAY MASS AT WEST GRINSTEAD

In discussions with Bishop Richard and ourselves, Fr David Irwin, who most of you will know, says he is delighted to help us, and has kindly offered to say the 10.30 Mass for us on a fairly regular basis from early March, following his retirement from St James, Spanish Place .

We are delighted with this news, and are very grateful for his kind offer of help. We know you will welcome him most warmly.

PLEASE NOTE THAT, WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT AND FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO CONTINUE OFFERING THE VIGIL MASS (6pm Saturdays) AT WEST GRINSTEAD. THIS IS PRINCIPALLY BECAUSE OF THE DIFFICULTY OF PROVIDING SUPPLY PRIESTS, AT THE PRESENT TIME. 

We all wish to thank you for your support of the Vigil Mass over the years, and for your patience and understanding in recent months, regarding the inevitable uncertainty surrounding the future of this Mass.

THE 10.30 SUNDAY SUNG MASS WILL CONTINUE AS NORMAL.

THE MASS WILL BE CELEBRATED AS NORMAL THIS WEEKEND: The Vigil Mass at 6pm on Saturday 26th January, and the Sung Mass at 10.30am on Sunday 27th.

FURTHER, IT IS EXPECTED THAT SUBSEQUENT VIGIL AND SUNDAY MASSES WILL CONTINUE AS NORMAL FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE, BUT ANY DEPARTURE FROM THIS WILL BE ANNOUNCED HERE – Thank you for your patience in this matter.
