Now that we are allowed to be open once more for public worship, these are the Mass times for the following week: 

Friday 4th December: Holy Mass at 12 Noon, when Fr David Irwin will celebrate his Silver Jubilee. We wish him well and with much gratitude thank him for his ministry amongst us.

Sunday 6th December: Holy Mass at 10.30am – Second Sunday of Advent.  Mass intention: Fr David Irwin in grateful thanks for his ministry.

Tuesday 8th December: Holy Mass at 12 Noon – The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Mass intention: The homeless

Wednesday 9th December: Confessions 11.30 followed by Holy Mass at 12 Noon. Mass intention: Bridie and Brian Cobb RIP

Sunday 13th December:  Holy Mass at 10.30am with Bishop Richard – Third ‘Gaudete’ Sunday of Advent.  Mass intention: For Vocations to the Priesthood in our Diocese

NB: Distancing will remain and the hygiene protocols will continue as before.

The other good news is that we can present our normal sale of Christmas card packs in the Church Room. The cards will be sold in a Covid-secure manner

Christmas Masses: We shall celebrate the following Christmas Time Masses at West Grinstead, BUT PLEASE SEE THE NOTE BELOW ON PREBOOKING:

1) First Mass of Christmas (‘Midnight Mass’) on 24th Dec, starting at 9.30pm, preceded by Carols by Candlelight at 9pm.
2) Christmas Day – The Nativity of The Lord – at 10.30am.
3) Sunday 27th at 10.30 – Sunday Mass: The Holy Family.
***PLEASE NOTE HOWEVER THAT, because of Covid restrictions on numbers, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO PREBOOK YOUR PLACE AT ‘MIDNIGHT MASS’ OR THE 10.30 CHRISTMAS DAY MASS, by signing up on the clip-boards in the Church Room, or phoning the parish office on 01403 710273 – Thank you

At St John’s, Horsham . . .

Parish Foodbank – The St John’s Share Shop – This will remain open each day when the church is open. Please continue to donate food, toiletries and baby goods. An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as being already there and unite myself wholly to You.
