THE GOOD NEWS IS … WE ARE NOW OVER HALF WAY  through the current lockdown – assuming it ends, as stated, on 2 December. Let us all hope and pray that this does in-fact happen.

During this time our church will only be open for private prayer – on Wednesdays from 11.15am until 12.45pm, with Confessions available from 11.30am – Noon as normal on Wednesdays, with the final such Wednesday being 2 December, DV.

Then on 6th December we intend to offer Holy Mass at 10.30am on the Second Sunday of Advent.

The other good news is that we hope to be able present our normal sale of Christmas cards in the Church Room from Sunday 6th December (delivery permitting). The cards will be sold in a Covid-secure manner

Christmas Masses: Please note that, Covid/lockdown permitting, we intend to celebrate the following Christmas Time Masses at West Grinstead:

1) First Mass of Christmas (‘Midnight Mass’) on 24th Dec, starting at 9.30pm, preceded by Carols by Candlelight at 9pm.
2) Christmas Day – The Nativity of The Lord – at 10.30am.
3) Sunday 27th at 10.30 – Sunday Mass: The Holy Family.

At St John’s, Horsham . . .

Month of the Holy Souls – Fr Aaron will offer a Mass at St John’s for all the Bereaved in our parish on Wednesday 25th November at 7pm.

Parish Foodbank – The St John’s Share Shop – This will remain open each day when the church is open. Please continue to donate food, toiletries and baby goods. There has been a significant take up of this. Please share this initiative with anyone you may know who might need some extra help – Fr Aaron

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as being already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.           Amen.
