The online liturgies will, of course, continue throughout the Easter Season, and beyond. By making a Spiritual Communion during an on-line Mass, you are, at this time, fulfilling an invaluable source of Eucharistic connection and solace.  There will be a Cathedral Mass offered for NHS and Social Care workers, those who are sick and their families, every Thursday evening at 7pm. These special services will be celebrated by a different Bishop, in a different Cathedral, each week. The timing of the Mass is intended to offer an opportunity for Catholics to pray before the nation’s weekly “clap for carers” at 8pm. This Thursday’s Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Richard at Arundel Cathedral. Also this week, join Monsignor John Armitage for an eight day online retreat live streamed from the Catholic National Shrine at Walsingham. Starting on Sunday 19th April after Compline at 8pm until Sunday 26th April. Talks each day will be at 10.30 and 16.00. There will be Mass each day at 12 noon. The Divine Mercy prayers will be recited with the Rosary at 3pm daily. Morning and Evening prayer will be at 08.30 and 17.00 respectively.

During the current ‘lock-down’ situation, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to those of you who have so kindly offered to set up Standing Orders in lieu of our Sunday ‘plate collections’. This is always the most convenient method for planned giving (for all concerned) – already used by so many of us at West Grinstead – and it is vitally important at this time. Regular Standing Orders can be for any amount, no matter how small – just please give what you can afford. This is a golden opportunity to express our sincere thanks for our God-given faith, and for our beautiful, unique Shrine Church and community. Pope Francis said ‘Generosity enlarges the heart’, and we are most grateful indeed for your generosity of heart.
